USE ‘RESEND THIS MESSAGE’ – Outlook Tip #1

Do you frequently copy & paste info from previously sent emails to send to others?

The Resend This Message command is often simpler. I use it almost every day yet many people aren’t aware of it. It’s great for resending a recurring email like a monthly report where I want to preserve the format and just edit the content.

Where to find it in Outlook 2007

Open the email, then click Other Actions (on the Message tab) and choose Resend This Message:

You’ll be able to edit anything in the message.

  1. Thanks. I never knew about this. I guess I just use the forward feature. But I think this saves a click. Come to think of it there’s a lot of features I don’t use that I probably should be using!

    You’re welcome Terry.

You also don’t have to edit out the FW in the subject, and the header info from the original message.

When I need to send a few, I often copy several copies of the message to Drafts and then send from there.

    Tom
